GALA 2014

Gala 2014 honors our new Manhattan Borough President, Gale Brewer, who has served the people of New York for over 40 years including over a decade as City Council Member for the Upper West Side and northern Clinton. Her long-term commitment to open government, health and human rights and affordable housing has made her an invaluable supporter and friend of Project FIND.

We also honor Dr. Mira Batra whose years of work with the Lutheran Family Health Centers at the Woodstock Hotel have made an invaluable contribution to the success of project FIND’s Homeless In-Reach program. Over the years, Dr. Batra has earned the respect and trust of Woodstock residents and been a true inspiration in her work building a caring, respectful and supportive environment for homeless elders.

Our final honoree in our 45th year is Linwood Peel, lead singer for The Elsbeary Hobbs Drifters, whose unique and powerful voice has been lifting spirits at Project FIND for many years.  Mr. Peel breathes new life into classic songs, transporting audiences at our senior centers with his talent, heartfelt generosity and humor.
