Current Job Opportunities:
Project FIND has many types of employment opportunities, from kitchen work to social worker and administrative positions.
Advocacy:
Project FIND engages in two types of advocacy.
The first is benefits advocacy.  Each of our residences has one or more social workers on staff who help seniors in need to identify and obtain benefits to which they may be entitled.  We recognize that the process of obtaining benefits can be confusing.  Our goal is to help seniors navigate the benefits system as successfully as possible.
Project FIND also helps seniors become advocates themselves.  Each of our residences has a Tenant Advisory Council and each center has a Member Advisory Council.  These councils, made up of seniors, meet regularly and play a key role in identifying and addressing concerns and issues in the residences and centers.
Most politicians will tell you that older people are loyal voters.  Project FIND helps seniors stay informed about issues by organizing candidates' forums in the centers and by participating in local and state senior advocacy days.  On election days, some of our centers serve as polling places.
Project FIND is an active member of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, the Council of Senior Centers and Services of New York and the Supportive Housing Network of New York, all of which provide training and advocacy for the needs of seniors and service providers.
