Project FIND 35th Anniversary

| On Monday, October 18th, Project FIND celebrated its 35th anniversary with a cocktail party reception at Landmark on the Park, located at Central Park West and 76th Street. The 35th Anniversary Celebration of Shining Stars recognized four individuals for their outstanding contributions to Project FIND: Yoko Ono Lennon, longtime Board member Barbara Fife, City Council Member Gale Brewer and Nancy Stanford of Macy’s. |

| The co-chairs for the event were Meredith Kane, Frederic S. Papert, Sandra Silverman and Emily Menlo Marks. |
|
| Yoko Ono Lennon, who received the Giving Thanks Award in recognition for her many years of support for Project FIND’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner, was unable to attend due to her traveling schedule. Her assistant, Amanda Season Keeley, accepted the award from Project FIND Executive Director Cynthia Dial. |

| Former Mayor David Dinkins presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Barbara Fife, who served as Deputy Mayor of New York City under Mr. Dinkins. Ms. Fife has been a member of the Project FIND Board of Directors for more than 25 years. |
|
|
| City Council Member Gale Brewer, an advocate for the West Side for more than 30 years and a former member of the Project FIND Board, received her Public Service Award from Gerri Warren-Merrick of TimeWarner. |
|
|
| Kathy Gibson of the Grandparents Advocacy Project, presented the Outstanding Corporate Partner Award to Nancy Stanford of Macy’s. Since February 2003, Macy’s has provided Project FIND with more than 100 boxes of merchandise, including clothing for the Homeless In-Reach Program and household items for the Woodstock and other residences. |
