How to Help the Homeless
Project FIND provides a gateway for the homeless elderly to transition from life on the streets to stable housing
Our Homeless In-Reach program works to:
Provide a safe space where they can shower, get clean clothes and a meal
Connect them with a social worker who can help obtain all their benefits
Assess their need for medical and mental health services
Reconnect homeless seniors with supportive networks of family and friends
Statistics show that the number of homeless elderly has shot up 55% in the last decade, 28% of that jump is in just the last two years.
On average we place one formerly homeless senior in housing every 5.5 days –all year long.
