Kessler Story

Kessler Raymond at The Woodstock Hotel

“Having a home at The Woodstock has been one of my biggest victories.”

Kessler Raymond spent years in the ring but after wrestling, Project FIND helped him find stability, safety, and a true community.

Most people knew me as a fighter in the ring. I wrestled over 850 matches with the WWE and had the chance to be in the ring with legends like Mr. T and Hulk Hogan. Wrestling was my life. The crowd, the lights, the energy it was something special.

But when the wrestling stopped, life got quiet.

After my career ended, I went through a hard time and experienced a brief period of homelessness. That was a fight I wasn’t prepared for. It’s different when you’re not in front of thousands of people anymore. You’re just trying to figure out where you’re going to sleep.

In 2009, I found Project FIND and moved into The Woodstock Hotel. That changed everything for me.

The Woodstock gave me stability. It gave me safety. But more than that, it gave me a community. I wasn’t just a former wrestler I was a person who mattered. The staff treated me with respect, and I found a place where I belong.

I’ve fought a lot of battles in my life, some in the ring, some outside of it. Having a home at The Woodstock has been one of my biggest victories.

Thanks to supporters like you, people like me can find stability again and keep moving forward.
