SPARC Artist-in-Resident program at Hamilton

In 2012/13 Hamilton Senior Group was selected as a site to host the SPARC Artist-in-Resident program (Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide). This program is a community arts engagement program that places artists-in-residence at senior centers across five boroughs of New York City. The program was developed in 2009 as part of the Mayors Age Friendly NYC initiative, and is supported, in part, by funding from the Department of Aging.

Paul Ferrara was selected as the artist-in-residence at Project FIND/Hamilton Senior Center.

The collection of work displayed here was created by those individuals who participated in the LIFE MAPS collage class over the course of the five months, a curriculum developed by Mr. Ferrara specifically for this residency.
