Thanksgiving 2014
Celebration of Our Community Family
Reaching into Communities, Homes and Hearts of the Elderly
Thanksgiving Day Meal delivery to Home bound- Shut-in and Disabled Seniors who live alone
In celebration of our 45th year of Thanksgiving we have grown in our outreach and expanded our capacity in our meal delivery to these in need. This year we served 300 seniors across Manhattan. Our referrals, donations and operating plans came through our partnerships with a rich array of churches, community and interfaith organizations.
Because of our wonderful volunteers all of this was made possible. Needless to say the experience was humbling for all. With each smile or tear from the seniors we served they created Thanksgiving that will be forever preserved in our hearts, it was blessings all around.
We thank each and every one of the participants and givers of love. Because of the success of this year we expect to serve 400 home-bound seniors next year.
Traditional sit down meals
In addition Project FIND served 300 sit down meals at Hamilton Senior Center and 300 at Woodstock Senior Center on Thanksgiving Day.
Nothing says Thanksgiving like being surrounded by friends and people who care. Dancing, Eating and sharing was the energy of the day, enjoyed by all.
