Verdi Square Festival
If you weren’t on Verdi Square last Sunday or at the First Republic Bank on Tuesday, here’s a sample of what you missed:
Please come to Verdi Square this Sunday, Sept. 21, 5:00 pm for hits from your favorite Operas by young artists of the Manhattan School of Music and on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 7:00 pm at the Broadway & 76th branch of First Republic Bank for Poetry Readings by Howard Levy, Dawn Potter, and Jeffrey Harrison, published poets reading from their own works and the classics.
Both events are free, but advance registration for the Poetry Readings is requested: please simply e-mail
[email protected] with your name, date of Reading, and number of guests.
Other arts organizations worry about the “greying” of their audiences. Verdi Square Festival doesn't have that problem at Verdi Square. There’s plenty of great stuff for all generations :-)
Please check Verdi Square Festival website, Facebook, and Twitter pages for more news of the Festival…..and how you may become a friend of the Verdi Square Festival, bringing great music back to one of New York’s most historic and musically connected Squares.
Viva Verdi…..and, the New York City Dept. of Parks & Recreation!
